Joining Chimera
Changing guilds can sometimes be a difficult process and in many ways it is very similar to changing jobs. If you are unhappy in your current situation, you look somewhere else. We understands that some players may not wish to advertise their intention to leave their current guild. Although it is better to prepare things and let people know of your intentions, it can also create major tensions. Changing guild or jobs/guilds is not a guaranteed business. You could apply to a job/guild and not be accepted only to be kicked by the company/guild for looking around. No matter what decision is made, an officer will come back to you and let you know about the status of your application within a couple of days.

Raiding Groups:
Chimera has two raiding groups
- A progression raid
- A pillager raid

Raid Times
Chimera raids on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday from 7:30 (invite time) until 12:00. Recruits are expected to be able to maintain a 85% or greater raid attendance for progression raiding, and a 75% or greater raid attendance for pillager raid. We use a Zero Sum DKP system for end game looting. Feel free to contact any Chimera officer in game if you have any questions.

Now here is a quote from Death & Taxes’ recruitment page which could fit here too:
You must be mature, patient, very good at your class, very experienced with pre-tbc and tbc raids. You must be able to follow orders and have the capacity to think quickly and react accordingly. Must have ventrilo and a microphone, use them but also know when to shut the fuck up. You must not: bitch, moan, cry, whine or otherwise bring any negativity to the raid, be a loot whore, or afk during raids. Must be self sufficient in terms of consumables, gems, enchants and always come prepared. Attunements / Keys are a plus but not a requirement.

Simply put, we are looking for nice people, skilled players who genuinely enjoy endgame raiding and progress, outstanding players in terms of SKILL, COMMUNICATION, and COMMITMENT. Finally, DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT HANDLE WHAT IS AT TIMES HARSH CRITICISM!

How to Apply:

Application Requirements:
- You must be a mature player in order to be accepted in Chimera. While we will make exceptions for certain applicants, most players under 18 will find they do not exhibit the maturity, responsibility and stability we are looking for. As such we will only consider applicants over the age of 18.
- Please do not apply more than once a month.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Age Requirement to join Chimera (why we do it)
Quoted from an application: you shouldnt judge a book bye its cover.

I agree and we get this answer from a lot of our young applicants. The reason is something that you probably can not grasp yet but when you live with your parents and still go to school you are in a way much less stable than a person with a job in charge of their own life. Nothing stops your parents from deciding that one evening when we need you you can not play because you screwed up something at school..or just to cancel your account.

If you are an adult with either a job or a school/career, the disruptions you might get are much less often than what parents may do. And this is not an arbitrary decision, it is because since 2004 we have dealt with a lot of younger players and because of this ’stability’ issue we decided to draw the line at 18.

This is a game of course, but some part of it require a time investment and personal responsibility that playing casually doesn’t cut. We must have players that are dedicated and can almost guarantee that they will be there on a raid night. Otherwise we may not be able to raid. For these reasons, only adults who understand the commitment we require for raiding with us usually get in.

It does not meant that we are hardcore retards…it just levels the playing field where all members and raiders know what they are getting themselves into. And lastly, we tend to swear and talk a lot about <body part> and <female anatomy> as well as <filtered> innuendos and hard core <filtered> done on gnomes or furry stuff and tentacles. Having much younger members would mean having to exercise restraint in how we joke and talk.

Good luck again, I hope this helped

You bump your application. If we have not yet responded to you, feel free to bump your applications.
